Journeying

Photo by Stephen Leonardi on Unsplash

Standing in line,
on a busy street
filled with carbon drones.
Water falls from the sky.

Then, a vehicle arrives on rubber rings —
no wings, just
wrap-around windows,
seats in rows, and
bright landing lights.
Ejecting invisible steam,
it droops as the hatch opens
for embarkation.
